2007-2008
Annual Fund
“You’re
the Missing Piece!”
Please
help us reach our goal by making your donation today!
Every student who attends the School of the Cathedral benefits
from the Annual Fund. This year we will be purchasing LCD projectors
for the classrooms with the funds raised. A portion of the funds
also goes towards tuition assistance for our Cathedral families in
need.
Won't you help us to reach our goal and send in your gift
today? It's not too late! Our campaign runs through May 31,
2008.
The School of the Cathedral has implemented the Annual Fund to educate the school families, alumni and the overall community to the vision, mission, goals and needs of the
school. The Annual Fund invites the participation of those who believe in and support the mission and goals of our school. The funds that are secured allow the school to
carry out the goals of the Long-Range Plan. The fund also enables the school to gain sufficient dollars to promote the advancement of various key programs.
The Annual Fund supports the general operating expenses of the School including:

Support The Cathedral Tradition in Education:
Mind, Body and Soul
Since 1871, The School of the Cathedral has been
dedicated to the education of the total person through academics,
athletics and the values of the Catholic faith. Over the years, we
have depended on the commitment of time, talent and financial
resources from our generous alumni, parents and friends to support
our mission of academic excellence and spiritual growth.
The School of the Cathedral is proud to have
contributed to the growing years of so many fine individuals. Now,
you have the opportunity to contribute to our growth--- and the
growth of future generations of Cathedral students---- through our
Planned Giving Program.
At the School of the Cathedral, we have established a Planned Giving Program to assist our alumni and friends in discovering the many benefits charitable giving can provide.
Through a relationship established with a highly respected, professional trust and estate planning expert, the School of the Cathedral can help educate you about charitable trusts as a planned giving and investment strategy.

Endowment
|
|
|
In 2005, The
School of the Cathedral established an Endowment Fund through the
Archdiocese of Baltimore with the help of the Catholic Family
Foundation. It is called THE CATHEDRAL OF MARY OUR QUEEN CATHOLIC
EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND. The school
initially invested $10,000 from the proceeds of the 2004 Cathedral
Golf Open. It was matched by the Archdiocese of Baltimore through
the Mustard Seed Match program, for a total investment of $20,000.
Each year, the proceeds of the golf outing are designated for the
Endowment Fund as well as other income throughout the year. The
current value of the Endowment Fund is $144,000. The fund is for the
exclusive purpose of providing financial support for the school,
including scholarship awards, operating expenses, capital
improvements and other needs of the school. For more information,
please go to the Catholic Family Foundation website:

Brick
Walkway |

Our Brick Walkway
To fully integrate our
parish and school community, a beautiful brick walkway was
built connecting our school and the Cathedral Parish
Center. It is located directly between the school and
the Cathedral Parish Center.
The Brick Walkway
was installed under the guidance of
the Office of Institutional Advancement. Alumni, parents, and
friends donated funds for their personalized brick. It has
been completed and no additional bricks may be ordered.
